Kamejiro Senaga and the People's History Museum

The museum contains extensive collections of documents, photographs, and personal items belonging to Kamejiro Senaga, who served as Mayor of Naha.

Established in March 2013, this institution preserves records of Kamejiro Senaga's political activities during the American occupation of Okinawa from 1945 to 1972.

Exhibitions demonstrate the complex relationship between Okinawa and mainland Japan through artifacts, documents, and photographs from the post-war period.

Located near public transportation routes, the museum provides guided tours in multiple languages and maintains regular hours from Tuesday through Sunday.

The collection includes original manuscripts and correspondence from Senaga's time as a representative in the Japanese Diet from 1970 to 1990.
