Алатау, Tourist hotel at Dostyk Avenue, Almaty, Kazakhstan
The nine-story building features curved angular architecture with a main facade facing Dostyk Avenue and a three-story pavilion in its northern section.
Built in 1974 by the Alma-AtaZhilStroy Trust, the hotel initially offered 870 beds and served 96,000 tourists annually during the Soviet period.
The hotel structure gained recognition as a Monument of History and Culture in 1979, entering the State List of Historical Monuments of Almaty.
Located at 105 Dostyk Avenue near Kazhymukan Street, the hotel provides 34 rooms with single, double, semi-deluxe, and deluxe accommodation options.
The exterior features minimalist concrete panels alternating with glazed windows, and the facade color changed from white to dark cherry during renovations.
