Верненская женская гимназия, Girls' gymnasium building from 1895 in Almaty, Kazakhstan
The Vernenskaya Girls' Gymnasium building features architectural elements combining eastern influences with Russian traditions on Tole Bi Street.
Built at the end of the 19th century, the gymnasium was one of the first educational institutions for women in Kazakhstan under Russian administration.

Architect Andrei Zenkov incorporated advanced seismic resistance techniques in the building's construction, which proved effective during the 1911 earthquake.
