Itokoku History Museum

The Itokoku History Museum displays numerous artifacts from the Yayoi period through three floors of comprehensive exhibitions about ancient Japanese civilizations.

Established in 2004, the museum houses 40 bronze mirrors and other significant items from the Hirabaru archaeological site, designated as National Treasures in 2006.

The exhibition spaces demonstrate the historical connections between the Itokoku region and neighboring civilizations through trade artifacts from China and Korea.

Located at 916 Ihara, the museum opens daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM except Mondays, with last admission at 4:30 PM and parking for 100 vehicles.

The fourth floor features an observation space overlooking the Itoshima plains and includes virtual reality installations for exploring museum collections.
