Šuazeliai Palace, Baroque palace in Old Town, Vilnius, Lithuania.
Šuazeliai Palace features a striking four-columned portico and blends Baroque with Classical design elements throughout its facade. The structure displays the balanced proportions and refined detailing typical of 18th-century European palaces.
The building originated in the 17th century but received its current form through major renovation at the end of the 18th century. A French exile oversaw this transformation with architect Marcin Knackfus, establishing the design we see today.
The palace takes its name from the Šuazels family, who shaped it as their residence. Today its spaces host everyday businesses, giving the building an active daily role in the neighborhood.
The palace sits near the Presidential Palace and Vilnius University in the Old Town and is easy to reach on foot. Inside you will find various shops and services that operate during standard business hours.
The building originally contained 28 rooms of different sizes and featured stables for 16 horses plus a dedicated coach house. These details reveal its former importance as a noble residence and the everyday needs of the 18th-century elite.
