Cerkiew Przemienienia Pańskiego w Lublinie

The Renaissance-style church features a single tower on its facade, half-gables on the sides, and a semi-circular east-facing presbytery with brick construction.

Built between 1607 and 1633, the cathedral replaced an earlier wooden structure from 1447 and underwent multiple transitions between Orthodox and Uniate communities.

The late-Renaissance iconostasis from the first half of the 17th century contains precious icons, including a mid-16th century Dormition of the Virgin Mary.

The cathedral, located at Ruska Street 15 in Lublin, functions as the main Orthodox church of the Lublin-Chełm Diocese since 1989.

The interior walls display Renaissance frescoes depicting the Holy Spirit, cherubs, seraphs, and archangels, alongside 17th-century crucifixion polychromes.
