Zespół willi Renata

The Renata Villa complex is a building ensemble in Podkowa Leśna featuring a main residence with two separate hip roofs and a prominent tower. The architecture includes arcaded recesses, wall-like defensive elements topped with battlements, an outbuilding, and landscaped grounds with preserved garden areas.

The villa was built in 1935 for papal chamberlain Leonard Samowicz and his wife Renata, representing the residential architecture of affluent households of that period. During World War II, the buildings sheltered German military forces and later provided refuge for residents displaced from Warsaw.

The complex takes its name from Renata, the wife of its original owner, and displays a blend of architectural styles that reflect the refined residential tastes of its era. Walking around the buildings and grounds, you can see how these design choices shaped the character of the neighborhood.

The property is located on 11 Listopada Street and can be viewed from multiple angles as you walk around the grounds, revealing different architectural aspects with each approach.
