Jaskinia Krowia, Limestone cave in Ojcowski National Park, Poland.

Jaskinia Krowia is a limestone cave in Ojcowski National Park with an entrance that opens into a bright and dry natural shelter. Formed within hard limestone rock along the Prądnik Valley, it is straightforward to visit for people exploring the area.

During the 19th century, local farmers used this natural cavity as a shelter for their cows and sheep while the animals grazed nearby. This pastoral use shaped the character of the place for many decades.

The cave gained attention as a filming location for the movie 'Ogniem i mieczem', where artificial waterfall effects were created for the scenes. The site served as a natural backdrop and shaped the appearance of several sequences in the production.

The entrance is located less than 100 meters from the Kraków Gate and is accessible via marked trails throughout Ojcowski National Park. The pathways are relatively flat and open to visitors year-round.

The interior space was previously used as a cold storage facility, which altered its original sedimentary deposits. This unusual function left traces that observant visitors may still notice today.
