Ojców Castle, Medieval fortress in Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, Poland

The castle consists of an octagonal tower, gate structure, and defensive walls perched atop limestone cliffs in the Prądnik Valley National Park.

King Casimir III the Great ordered the construction of this fortress in the 14th century as part of a defensive line against invasions from Bohemia.

The castle holds exhibitions in its gate tower displaying artifacts and documents that detail the military history of the Eagles' Nests fortification chain.

The entry fee costs 7 euros for adults and 3.50 euros for students, with guided tours available for groups of ten or more visitors.

The name Ojców derives from 'Father by the Rock' in Polish, as King Casimir named it to honor his father, Władysław I Łokietek.
