Ojców

Ojców is a village set in the Prądnik Valley, surrounded by limestone cliffs and forests within a protected natural area. The region contains hundreds of caves, castle remains, and walking paths that wind through the landscape.

The village grew around a Gothic castle built in the 14th century that served as a fortress along a trade and defense route. This stronghold shaped both the settlement and its position in the valley for centuries to come.

The castle grounds are home to peacocks that roam freely among the ruins and approach visitors. This unusual inhabitants have become established over decades and add an unexpected element to the visit.
