The Casa da Quinta de São José extends across three hectares of sloping terrain, featuring residential spaces, gardens, archways, stables, and a fountain.
The estate dates back to the 17th century, when it belonged to the Dukes of Bragança, and was later purchased by the Baron of Pomarinho in the 19th century.
The mansion displays painted wooden ceilings, 18th-century traditional Portuguese tiles, and neoclassical frescoes that demonstrate local artistic techniques.
The property now functions as a multi-purpose center with tennis courts, a children's pool, exhibition halls, a youth center, and a day care facility for seniors.
Six tile panels on the northern facade depict historical events, including the 1147 Battle of Sacavém and the Strike of the Boys from 1937.
