The museum occupies the site of a former ceramics factory established in 1856 that became a Royal Factory under John Stott Howorth's leadership.
The collection features Portuguese ceramic pieces from numerous production centers, including Rato Factory, Vista Alegre, and works by artist Jorge Colaço.
The museum opens Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 18:00, with free entry for Lisboa Card holders.
The museum incorporates Kiln 18, a bottle kiln from the 1940s that demonstrates the high-temperature working conditions of ceramics manufacturing.
