Church of Saint Nicholas in Rogozhskoe cemetery, Orthodox church in Nizhegorodsky District, Moscow, Russia
The Church of Saint Nicholas features five large blue domes with faceted white drums and a three-tiered bell tower with tent-shaped completions.
The church originated in 1771 during a plague epidemic when authorities allocated land to Old Believers for burials and permitted construction of a wooden chapel.
The temple incorporates architectural elements from 17th-century Russian buildings, following its reconstruction in Russian Revival style between 1863 and 1866.
The church remained operational throughout the Soviet period and contains three altars dedicated to Saint Nicholas, the Protection of the Virgin, and the Three-Handed Icon.
The central drum of the church exceeds the others in size and contains windows, while the bell tower displays two distinctive hanging tent-shaped weights.
