Обелиск Победы в Нарьян-Маре

The Victory Obelisk stands 4.4 meters tall near the central post office building, featuring an asymmetrical concrete structure with the years 1941-1945 and the Order of the Patriotic War.

The memorial, inaugurated on May 9, 1965, contains a capsule with names of 3000 residents of the Nenets Autonomous Region who died during World War II.

The monument serves as the central location for Victory Day ceremonies where local residents gather to honor the memory of soldiers from the Nenets region.

Located on Pobedy Street in central Naryan-Mar, the memorial includes an eternal flame on a cast-iron star, installed during the renovation of July 14, 1979.

The structure underwent multiple transformations, initially featuring a white-painted hand holding a torch, which was later removed during the 1982 reconstruction.
