Museum of main gas transportation

The Museum of Main Gas Transportation is an exhibition space for equipment, models, and interactive displays showing how natural gas moves across Russia's vast territory. The museum is housed in a pavilion at the VDNH complex and covers all aspects of the transport process.

The museum opened in 2016 in a 1937 pavilion that had previously hosted exhibitions on agriculture and chemical industry. The location was repurposed to tell the story of modern energy history.

The museum shows how Russia developed its energy infrastructure and the technical solutions that emerged over time. Visitors see here how gas supply has connected the country and continues to do so.

The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday and accepts card payments. A visit works well for individuals and small groups interested in technical subjects.
