Laholm Bay Beach

Laholm Bay Beach is a wide sandy shore with natural dunes stretching about 12 kilometers along the coast. Fine sand and shallow waters define the landscape, with the dunes forming a protective buffer behind the swim zone.

In the 1930s, the firm sand served as a practical transportation route for buses connecting coastal towns. This use highlights how the beach played a role beyond recreation in local life.

People gather here during summer months for local celebrations that bring the community together, with music and meals shared near the water's edge.

The water stays shallow and accessible for swimming and water activities along most of the beach. Facilities like changing areas and pathways are available throughout the main sections, though conditions shift with the seasons.
