Båstad Municipality

Båstad Municipality covers an area along the northwestern coast of Skåne County in southern Sweden, centered on the Bjäre Peninsula. The region consists of several localities spread across coastal and inland areas.

The municipality was formed in 1971 through a merger of the market town with surrounding rural areas. This consolidation created the administrative structure that exists today.
