Villa Gadelius, Saltsjöbaden, Private residence in Saltsjöbaden, Sweden
Villa Gadelius stands on Kaptensbacken hill, featuring a northeastern tower and an open veranda that overlooks the northern shore of Neglingeviken.
Architect Gustaf Wickman designed the villa in 1896 for bank director Carl Jansson before businessman Knut Gadelius acquired it in 1928.
The building combines national romantic architecture with East Coast American stick style, showcasing detailed woodwork, panels, and ornate chimneys.
The structure underwent modifications to serve various functions, including a school, studio, preschool, and temporary housing throughout its existence.
The villa contains preserved original features such as tiled stoves, inlaid beams, and a grand entrance hall with its initial staircase and railings.
