Källtorpssjön runt, Lake trail circuit in Nacka Municipality, Sweden
Källtorpssjön runt is a walking route that loops completely around the lake through mixed forest and elevated wooden boardwalks along the shore. The path offers continuously changing water views and natural surroundings.
The route emerged in the 1930s when Hellasgården recreational center was built to encourage Stockholm residents toward outdoor activity. Since then it has served as a regular destination for visitors from the area.
Local residents maintain Nordic walking groups that meet weekly at Hellasgården to traverse the trail while practicing traditional Swedish outdoor exercise methods.
The route stretches about 3.5 kilometers with several access points, clear signs, and benches placed regularly for rest breaks. The paths are well maintained and straightforward to navigate.
During winter months the lake surface freezes and becomes an extension of the walking path when conditions allow safe crossing on ice. This transforms the experience of the same location during the colder season.
