Wat Lat Phrao

Wat Lat Phrao is a Buddhist temple in the Lat Phrao district of Bangkok featuring a modern yellow-painted Ubosot that houses three standing Buddha statues positioned on an elevated terrace within a spacious Viharn. The grounds are organized with open courtyards and prayer areas carefully arranged around the main structures.

The temple was established in the 19th century, predating the residential development that transformed the surrounding area starting in the 1960s. This early founding makes it a spiritual anchor point in a neighborhood that later developed as a modern urban district.

The temple's Chedi contains Buddhist relics brought from Kandy in Sri Lanka, adding religious significance to this spiritual center. This connection to another Buddhist nation makes it stand out in the local religious landscape.
