2 Heorhiivskyi Lane is a multi-section residential complex that spans a considerable length along the street. The building features a regular pattern of windows across its facade and includes an eight-story wing on one side of the structure.
This complex was built in 1935 to house military personnel assigned to the district. Early photographs from that decade document the presence of a prominent tower that was subsequently removed from the structure.
The building represents the architectural style of early Soviet residential developments in Kyiv, reflecting the period's approach to military personnel accommodation.
The complex is located in a well-connected area near the Ukrainian House and continues to function as a residential building. Visitors can view the exterior from the street and appreciate the scale of this large housing development within its urban setting.
Original photographs preserve the image of the building as it stood with its defining tower, a feature that no longer exists in its current form. This architectural loss is a reminder of how many structures in Kyiv underwent significant transformations during the Soviet era.
