Chenango Valley State Park, State park with kettle lakes in Chenango Forks, US
Chenango Valley State Park is a recreation area in New York featuring two connected lakes, Lily and Chenango, surrounded by forest. The grounds include camping areas, cabins, hiking trails, and facilities for swimming, boating, and picnicking.
The lakes formed during the last ice age when glacial activity carved deep depressions into the landscape that later filled with water. This glacial history shaped the natural character of the area.
The park organizes interpretive nature programs throughout the year, teaching visitors about local wildlife, plant species, and environmental conservation.
The park offers around 184 campsites and 24 cabins with showers, restrooms, and dump stations for RVs. Visit during warmer months to enjoy swimming, boating, and other water activities fully.
The grounds contain an 18-hole golf course woven into the natural landscape. Players can enjoy their round while surrounded by forest and water views.
