Havemeyer Hall, University chemistry building in Morningside Heights, Manhattan, US

The three-story Havemeyer Hall occupies a central position on Columbia University's campus, featuring a Victorian architectural design with a clock tower.

Built between 1896 and 1898, the hall was named after Frederick Christian Havemeyer and has served as Columbia's primary chemistry facility for over 120 years.

Seven Nobel Prize winners in Chemistry conducted research within Havemeyer Hall, including Irving Langmuir and Harold Clayton Urey.

Room 309, a multi-level lecture hall designed by Charles Follen McKim, continues to host chemistry classes and academic presentations throughout the academic year.
