Jones Law Office

The Jones Law Office stands as a single-room structure with a centered entry door, side windows, and unpainted weatherboards within the Appomattox Court House National Historical Park.

Originally owned by Lorenzo D. Kelly in the nineteenth century, the building later served as a residence for John Robinson and his family before becoming a preserved historical site.

The law office represents the professional and residential architecture of mid-nineteenth century Piedmont Virginia, featuring traditional construction methods and materials.

The structure measures twenty-one and a half feet wide by seventeen and a half feet deep, containing an attorney's desk, eating areas, and central heating system.

The building received recognition on the National Register of Historic Places in 1966 and underwent restoration work in 1963 to maintain its historical authenticity.
