The interior maintains its original colonial four-room center-chimney layout, with narrow vestibules and winding staircases representing 18th-century New England architectural traditions.
Located at 150 Wood Street in western Lowell, the house is accessible north of the junction with Westford Street and welcomes visitors interested in colonial architecture.
The property included a distillery operated by Jerathmell Bowers, who acquired the land in 1670 and developed it into a 150-acre farm by the 1800s.
