Lock Tender's House and Canal Store Ruin

The Lock Tender's House is a two-story building with a stone foundation and gabled roof, its original wooden siding now covered with aluminum. Next to it stand the ruins of a storage building that once held supplies for canal boats passing through.

The building was constructed in the mid-1800s along the Delaware and Hudson Canal to manage boat traffic and supply operations. It served as a hub in an important transportation network that shaped regional growth for decades.
