Market House is a three-story brick building with large rounded arches on the ground floor and a wooden railing on the upper level. The structure displays late 18th-century architectural design created for daily market operations.
The building was erected in the 1770s as a central marketplace for goods and provisions. During the American Revolution, it housed French soldiers before serving other civic roles in the city.
The building served as a gathering place where merchants and residents conducted daily business and social exchanges in the heart of the city.
