Marbridge Building, Office building in Herald Square, Manhattan, US

The Marbridge Building sits at 1328 Broadway between 34th and 35th Streets as an eleven-story structure made of stone and brick. Its E-shaped floors provide office spaces that are occupied by different tenants for commercial use today.

William R. H. Martin commissioned the building in 1908 with an investment of about one million dollars. This represented a major commitment to developing commercial space in this business district during that era.

The building served as a commercial hub where shoppers and business professionals gathered to buy clothing and goods throughout much of the 20th century. Its spaces reflect the mix of retail and office activity that defined the area for generations.

Access is straightforward since the building sits at a major intersection in Herald Square with good public transit connections. Visitors should arrive during business hours when most offices are open and the main entrances are active.

The building once housed a famous billiards parlor founded by baseball manager John McGraw and player Mike Donlin. Later the legendary pool champion Willie Hoppe took over operations and made the place well-known among players.
