Untamed, Steel roller coaster in Canobie Lake Park, New Hampshire, US.
Untamed is a steel roller coaster at Canobie Lake Park that drops nearly straight down before executing three quick inversions. The track winds through supports designed to look like tree trunks, creating a visual connection to the landscape around it.
The coaster opened in 2011 after two decades without new steel roller coasters at the park. Its arrival followed the Dragon Coaster, which had been the last major addition in 1991.
The roller coaster's track and supports incorporate elements of New Hampshire's natural heritage, with supports designed to resemble the state tree, white birch.
Riders must be at least 48 inches (122 centimeters) tall and are held securely by shoulder harnesses throughout the ride. The park provides clear queue management and safety instructions before boarding.
The coaster shares its design with only two other roller coasters worldwide, both using the same Euro-Fighter blueprint. Rage at Adventure Island and Falcon at Duinrell are the sole others of this particular model type.
