W. H. Bickel Estate

The W.H. Bickel Estate features a rectangular main section with an east wing, covered in stone veneer quarried from Philadelphia and detailed woodwork throughout.

Built between 1928 and 1930, the estate was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004, recognizing its architectural and historical importance.

The third floor contains a twenty-eight-foot ballroom that served as a gathering space for social events in the early 20th century.

The 1,800-square-foot mansion includes five gas fireplaces with marble hearths, fifteen French doors on the first floor, and maple arched doors on the second floor.

The estate grounds feature a stone fountain with a thirty-foot diameter that once produced a fifty-foot spray and includes a hand-carved sandstone mill sculpture.
