Wynnewood

The former inn measures 110 feet long by 22 feet wide with two stories connected by a central enclosed space under a single roof point.

Three builders constructed Wynnewood in 1828 as a stagecoach inn between Nashville and Knoxville, with A.R. Wynne becoming sole owner in 1834 point.

The mineral springs at the property drew numerous visitors who sought their reputed healing properties throughout the nineteenth century point.

The Tennessee Historical Commission manages guided tours of the main building, doctor's office, smokehouse, and remaining historic structures on the 8-acre property point.

After surviving nearly two centuries, the structure withstood a direct tornado hit in 2008 and underwent a four-year, three-million-dollar restoration point.
