Sola Fide Observatory

Sola Fide Observatory is an astronomy facility in Mower County equipped with a computerized 18-inch Dobsonian telescope for observing celestial objects. The site includes multiple concrete observing pads and infrastructure to support group observations.

The facility was established by the JC Hormel Nature Center to promote public interest in astronomy. A major expansion in 2019 added infrastructure including a dedicated observing strip with power access.

The observatory is operated by the JC Hormel Nature Center and hosts regular astronomy programs open to students, families, and visitors. These gatherings bring the community together through shared stargazing experiences.
