Chelsea, Colonial plantation in King William County, United States.
The two-story mansion exhibits Queen Anne Georgian architecture with Flemish bond brickwork and a copper shingled roof along the Mattaponi River.
Built in 1709 by Augustine Moore, Chelsea stands as the second oldest plantation in Virginia and served as a starting point for Governor Spotswood's expedition.
The interior rooms display refined craftsmanship with fluted pilasters in the stair passage and extensive wooden paneling throughout the main floor.
The 600-acre estate now functions as an outdoor event venue, accommodating up to 300 guests for weddings and corporate gatherings.
The mansion contains one of only two eighteenth-century American homes featuring black walnut paneling, marking its architectural distinction.
