Molly's Falls Pond State Park

Molly's Falls Pond State Park is a protected natural area in Vermont centered on a large reservoir surrounded by forest. The parkland extends across about 1064 acres with miles of undeveloped shoreline along the water.

The reservoir was created in the 1920s when a local power company built a dam to generate electricity for the region. This construction transformed the landscape and later enabled the site to become a recreation area.

The water features carry names rooted in indigenous languages from the region's earliest inhabitants. These names link visitors today to the long history of this place.

The park opens to visitors only during warmer months from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Camping areas and boat access points are available, so plan your visit based on your intended activities.

The dam itself is a substantial engineering structure with specialized spillways designed to manage water flow. Many visitors overlook this part of the infrastructure even though it is central to how the site functions.
