Built around 1750, this residence belonged to Connecticut's first pharmacist who operated a drugstore in partnership with his brother Daniel until 1774.
The interior of the house maintains original wooden panels and fireplaces that represent residential architecture common among wealthy merchants in colonial Connecticut.
The house stands at 377 Washington Street in Norwich, where visitors can observe its four-bay facade and irregular entrance placement.
Benedict Arnold, before becoming a military commander, spent time in this house during his apprenticeship with the Lathrop brothers.
