Fountain Chapel, Methodist church building in Strathcona, Vancouver, Canada.
The white wooden church features Arts and Crafts architectural elements, including a peaked roof and symmetrical design at 823 Jackson Avenue.
The structure was built in 1910 as a Lutheran church and became the African Methodist Episcopal Church in 1918 under the leadership of Nora Hendrix.
The chapel served as a center for Vancouver's Black community, hosting religious services, community meetings, and social gatherings until 1985.
The building transformed into a private residence after 2008, following its previous role as the Basel Hakka Lutheran Church.
Canada Post released a commemorative stamp in 2014 depicting Fountain Chapel as part of Hogan's Alley's historical recognition.
