Stony Brook Field, Baseball field in Brewster, Massachusetts
Stony Brook Field is a baseball field in Brewster with aluminum bleachers on both sides of the infield and grassy areas where spectators can sit. The venue holds about 900 people and is home to the Brewster Whitecaps, a college baseball team.
The field opened in 2006 after the Brewster Whitecaps previously played at Cape Cod Tech. Funding came from the Yawkey Foundation and donations from the local community.
This baseball field serves as a summer training ground for talented players from across the world. Spectators sit on aluminum seating or bring their own chairs to watch games.
Games run from mid-June through mid-August and start before 5 PM since there is no lighting system. Bring sun protection and comfortable seating, as shade is limited around the grounds.
The field features a three-tiered press box structure near a protected playground where children can play safely during games. This combination of baseball watching and childcare makes the grounds stand out.
