The Hindu Temple and Cultural Center of Iowa features traditional architectural elements with ornate details on its exterior and ceremonial spaces inside.
Following an extensive fundraising campaign that collected over 1.2 million dollars from the local Hindu community, the temple opened its doors in June 2005.
The temple organizes regular ceremonies including Shiva Abhishekam, Lakshmi Pooja, and Balaji Abhishekam, maintaining Hindu traditions in the Midwest region.
Located at 33916 155th Lane, the temple welcomes visitors Monday through Friday from 9 AM to noon and 5 PM to 8 PM with extended weekend hours.
This religious center represents the first Hindu temple constructed in the state of Iowa, marking a milestone for the regional Hindu population.
