The institution provided education and trade skills training, including shoemaking, textile work, and agricultural practices to support youth development.
The center currently operates on 58 acres of its property, focusing on rehabilitation programs for juveniles with more serious offenses.
In 1992, the facility introduced a Pet Therapy Program allowing residents to care for dogs and facilitate animal adoptions.
