The Songbirds Guitar Museum is a music museum in Chattanooga housing approximately 550 instruments from its collection. It holds rare and valuable guitars, including two Gibson Explorers valued at one million dollars each and 36 rare Sunburst Les Paul models.
The museum opened in 2018 at Terminal Station and evolved from a private business into a nonprofit organization in September 2021. This transition allowed for an expanded mission and better resources to preserve and share the collection.
The collection showcases instruments once played by music legends such as Dolly Parton and Chuck Berry, documenting pivotal moments in American music history. Visitors can feel connected to these objects that represent the heritage of influential artists.
