Chattanooga Market is an open-air market in downtown Chattanooga featuring over 200 local vendors selling fresh produce, handmade crafts, artisanal foods, and locally designed products throughout the season. The variety on display ranges from vegetables and fruits to specialty items and goods created by regional makers.

The market was founded in 2001 with a mission to support local agriculture by restricting vendors to those operating within about 100 miles of downtown. This policy kept the focus on regional producers and strengthened ties with nearby farming communities.

Live music and cooking demonstrations happen regularly, making this a social meeting point for both locals and visitors. The space feels like a weekly gathering where the community comes together to support nearby makers and farmers.

The market opens every Sunday from 11 AM to 4 PM at the Convention Center, with additional Wednesday sessions at a nearby medical facility. Coming early helps secure the best selection from popular vendors.

A special Holiday Market takes over for two weeks each December, featuring custom art commissions and competitive cooking events with cast iron cookware. This seasonal version draws a different crowd looking for one-of-a-kind gifts.
