Hi-Sky, Observation wheel in Berg am Laim, Munich, Germany.
Hi-Sky is a Ferris wheel in Berg am Laim reaching 78 meters tall with 27 enclosed cabins that each hold around 16 people. The rotation takes visitors on a slow circle above the city with views in all directions.
The Ferris wheel opened in 2019 and sits on a temporary site reserved for a future concert hall near Ostbahnhof station. It serves as a temporary landmark while this part of Munich undergoes development.
The attraction, renamed Umadum in 2020, represents modern Munich with its mix of entertainment options and views extending from city landmarks to the Bavarian Alps.
Reach the site using suburban trains (S1-S8), underground line U5, or multiple tram and bus lines stopping at Ostbahnhof station. Parking options are available nearby if you arrive by car.
The entire structure disassembles into 80 shipping containers, allowing it to be relocated when development at this site progresses. Some cabins serve traditional Bavarian white sausage breakfast while rotating above the city.
