Megginch Castle, Medieval tower house in Errol, Scotland

The stone castle rises from the flat plain of the Carse of Gowrie, standing 15 meters above sea level between Perth and Dundee.

The original structure dates from the 15th century, with additions made in 1575 and further expansions completed between 1707 and 1715.

The residence maintains connections with Scottish nobility through its association with the Drummond clan and former resident Cherry, 16th Baroness Strange.

The private family property opens its gardens once annually through Scotland's Gardens Scheme, allowing visitors to explore the grounds.

The castle gardens contain two National Plant Collections of Scottish apples and pears, along with ancient yew trees reaching 72 feet tall.
