Blackwell Mill, Former railway mill in Derbyshire, England
Located at the intersection of Great Rocks Dale, Chee Dale, and Ashford Dale, Blackwell Mill marks the northern end of the Monsal Trail.
The original corn mill at this location may have dated from 1066, with its remains now designated as an Ancient Monument near the Manchester Turnpike ford.
The transformation of the Midland Railway line into the Monsal Trail has created a connection between industrial heritage and modern recreational activities.
The site now operates as a cycle hire center, offering various bike types for exploring the 8.5-mile trail between Blackwell Mill and Bakewell.
The former railway station at Blackwell Mill was among the smallest on British Railways, with platforms sized for just one carriage.
