Dalnair House, Category B listed building in Drymen, Scotland
Dalnair House features a T-plan design with two storeys, an attic, and a prominent central staircase tower wing adorned with crowstepped gables on the north side.
The house, constructed in 1682, was initially acquired by James Craig, Minister of Killearn, who purchased the lands from Archibald, Lord Napier, in 1679.
The building represents traditional Scottish architectural elements with its rubble stone construction, dressed quoins at arrises, and decorative base courses and eaves cornices.
The interior maintains its original layout with an entrance hall, former kitchen containing a round-arched fireplace, and a stone turnpike staircase in the stairtower.
The property changed ownership through several notable families, including the Grahams of Gartmore, the Buchanans of Carbeth, and the Wilsons of Endrickbank.
