Academy Stadium

Academy Stadium is a football ground in Manchester's Sportcity complex with seating for around 7,000 and facilities built for training and development. It stands next to the larger Etihad Stadium, connected by a bridge that spans the surrounding roads.

The ground opened in December 2014 as Manchester City built out its training centre in Sportcity. It was developed to give the club dedicated space for youth development away from the main stadium.

The venue regularly hosts matches for Manchester City's younger teams and women's players, making it a place where developing talent gets serious attention. Walking through, you notice how the club invests in building the future of football at all levels.

The ground sits roughly 400 meters from the main Etihad Stadium and is an easy walk through the Sportcity grounds. Plan to arrive early on match days since parking can get tight in the surrounding area.

The facility earned LEED Gold certification for meeting high environmental standards and includes fifteen outdoor training pitches alongside one indoor field. This focus on green building is rare for sports grounds of this size.
