The Sanctuary of San Nicodemo stands at 703 meters above sea level on the Limina plateau, featuring Byzantine architectural elements and three eastern-facing apses.
In 1501, following an earthquake, the relics of Saint Nicodemus were moved from the Basilian grange of San Biagio to the Mother Church of Mammola.
The sanctuary holds annual celebrations following May 12th, commemorating Saint Nicodemus's birth in 900, with traditional foot pilgrimages during July and August.
Visitors can reach the sanctuary via the SA-RC highway, following signs from Limina Pass or through coastal roads from Ionio and Tirreno.
The sanctuary contains frescoes by artist Nik Spatari depicting the miracles attributed to Saint Nicodemus, while a resident monk maintains the spiritual site.
