Cascata di Salino, Natural waterfall in Mammola, Italy
The Cascata di Salino waterfall drops 50 meters within the Parco Nazionale dell'Aspromonte, creating a vertical cascade along the rock face.
The waterfall path follows an ancient Greek route, known as 'sentiero dei Greci', which served as a connection between settlements in Calabria.
Local residents of Mammola have integrated the waterfall into their outdoor activities, making it a meeting point for community gatherings.
Visitors can reach the waterfall through a one-kilometer trail from the SS682 road, with parking available at the trailhead information board.
The seasonal water flow transforms the appearance of the falls throughout the year, with peak volume occurring during the winter rainy season.
