Kasama Nichidō Museum of Art

The museum opened in 1972 to commemorate the 45th anniversary of Galerie Nichidō, Japan's first commercial gallery devoted to Western-style painting. This founding reflected a pivotal moment in bringing Western art traditions to Japan.
