St John's Church, North Woolwich, Anglican church building in North Woolwich, England
The current St John's Church stands at 268 Albert Road, featuring a modern architectural design created by Laurence King and Partners in 1968.
The original St John's Church, consecrated in 1872, was completely destroyed during the London Blitz on September 7, 1940, with only the Infants School Hall remaining.
The church serves both Anglican and Roman Catholic congregations, combining multiple dedications as St John with St Mary and St Edward.
The parish of North Woolwich with Silvertown maintains regular services at St John's Church, with contact available through the telephone number 07970139881.
Following the 1974 merger, St John's Church absorbed the parishes of St Mark's and St Barnabas' Church, West Silvertown, establishing a consolidated religious center.
